Maison Rami Kadi’s SS26 Couture “Elementa”

Maison Rami Kadi's SS26 collection, Elementa, explores the elemental forces of nature — fire, water, earth, wind, and life — but takes a notably different route from other recent couture explorations of similar themes, including Rahul Mishra's latest offering. Where Mishra leaned on narrative and texture to evoke natural forms, Kadi opts for structural rigour and abstraction, allowing embroidery, panelling, and silhouette to carry the conversation.

Across 47 looks, the silhouettes strike a balance between sculptural precision and organic movement. Panels, layered constructions, and strategic cuts give garments a sense of flow, while embroidery — sequins, beads, crystals, metallic threads, silk, and raffia — is woven directly into the fabric, forming compositions that read as much architectural as decorative. Fringes, tassels, and ruffles inject rhythm without softening the exactness of the shapes.

The colour palette follows a similar logic. Warm mineral tones shift into cool blues, soft neutrals, and vivid greens, creating a visual cadence that moves across the collection rather than isolating individual elements within single looks. This fluidity reinforces Kadi's broader point: nature resists fixed boundaries.
