Aiming to usher in an era of Nouvelle Couture, Rami Kadi presented a Spring 2018 collection that marries the elegance of classic 1950s Hollywood with edgy urban street style.

The designer transformed PVC into the height of luxury with embroidery, laser-cut holographic sequins, and a nod to the age of Instagram and other social media: customized hashtags were embroidered on the dress in bold black crystal.

Feathers, satin duchesse, tulle, angel hair, pearls and crystals gave a baroque flair to the ball gowns, but the princess dresses had an edgy feel with the incorporation of embroidered t-shirts, hoodies, and tops inspired by sports bras.

Going against the grain, the creations had ornate black zippers with tassels helping them stood out even more dramatically.
