Peet Dullaert: Intelligent tailoring meets wearable luxury
Peet Dullaert crafts couture as a conversation between discipline and ease, creating garments that possess architectural rigour yet move with the body’s own logic.
Trained at ArtEZ University of Arts, Dullaert launched his eponymous label in Paris in 2012, spending over a decade refining his voice outside the traditional fashion calendar. That patience was rewarded when, in January 2024, he was invited as a guest member to the official Paris Haute Couture Week calendar, marking a recognition of his craft-driven approach.
His aesthetic vocabulary is specific and considered. Jackets and coats drape to honour movement rather than restrict it. Skirts flare with geometric precision. Detachable elements transform garments from day to evening with quiet ingenuity. His textile choices — lightweight organza layered over structured wool, tech-pleated panels creating sculptural volume — demonstrate that luxury lies in thoughtful construction rather than excess. Crystal embellishments and strategic transparency recur as signature details, adding luminosity without overwhelming form.
Hi Spring/Summer 2025 collection featured light organza overlays and bias-cut coats that seemed to float, punctuated by draped gowns with crystal accents. His Fall/Winter 2025 collection sharpened the language: tailored coats softened by fluid drape, tech-pleated skirts retaining sculptural integrity, and detachable elements offering versatility without compromise.
