Anna Hu's Material Mastery

In the rarefied world of haute joaillerie, where tradition often reigns supreme and platinum and gold have held court for centuries, Anna Hu dreams differently. The high jewellery designer is known for her embrace of titanium which allows her to create true statement piece designs that would otherwise buckle under their own weight in traditional gold or platinum.
Anna Hu presented, during the Paris Haute Couture Week FW 2025–2026, 21 creations reflecting two main themes which have been significant to her Maison’s philosophy since it was launched in 2007: Nature and Chinese culture.
The themes of flowers, the butterfly (which represents the translation of "Hu" in Mandarin), as well as the snake (her Chinese zodiac sign) are all represented in these new creations that draw inspiration from the cultural encounter between the East and West using the finest expression of traditional savoir-faire, working in partnership with Parisian High Jewellery workshops.
Once again, Hu continues her exploration of unique materials in High Jewellery by unveiling pieces in titanium coated with nano-electroplating pigments which, when hand- painted, allow greater creative freedom.
Her latest creation, La Rose Gracieuse brooch, exemplifies Hu's ability to transform personal narrative into universal beauty. Honoring Princess Grace of Monaco, this masterpiece transcends mere adornment to become a work of art. Princess Grace launched in 1954 the renowned Bal de la Rose, an annual charity gala dedicated to helping people in need and vulnerable children. With its 1.18-carat fancy vivid yellow diamond anchoring a symphony of spinels, rubies, and emeralds, the brooch aims to only express external beauty as well as the inner beauty of late Princess.
Anna Hu chose vibrant colours for the pieces in the Orchid Minuet collection as a tribute to Mu Guiying, a famous character from Peking Opera and a heroine of Chinese literature who symbolizes female strength, wisdom, and bravery..
The Orchid Minuet collection is crafted in titanium, treated with nano-electroplating technology and hand-painted. This process requires the artisan to possess exceptional skill in order to achieve the perfect texture and colour of each piece.
