Fall 2019 Haute Couture: Viktor & Rolf’s Spiritual Glamour

Viktor & Rolf followed their last Instagram-friendly Spring/summer 2019 collection with a new one on sustainability creating colorful patchwork dresses using vintage garments, while also collaborating with Dutch artist and textile designer Claudy Jongstra, who provided wool felt from a herd of rare Drenthe Heath sheep that she raises and shears herself for a series of theatrical coats.
Jonstra also dyes her felt only using plant pigment from her organic garden.
The designers told WWD they aimed “to cast a positive spell that says things can be done.”
