Sotheby’s Diamonds Celebrates 10th Anniversary with New Collection

Inspired by Monet’s Water Lilies and Rouen Cathedral series, Sotheby’s Diamonds is releasing Day Series earrings seeking to evoke a journey of light throughout the day. Jadeite and opal are two of the stones selected to represent various moments of the day, all crafted to frame a diamond and maximize the reflection and refraction of light. The earrings are part of a commemorative collection unveiled this month in Hong Kong to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Sotheby’s Diamonds — a partnership between the auction house and diamond expert Diacore (formerly the Steinmetz Diamond Group). The new collection also includes a pink diamond flower brooch, which was born out of an iconic tree brooch. Stylized as a flower, the brooch features cushion-cut fancy purplish pink diamonds and D-color flawless diamonds, weighing a total of 7.60 carats mounted in platinum and 18k rose gold.
