The Louis Vuitton Monogram in the Spotlight
Bonhams Cornette de Saint Cyr will auction a remarkable private collection of 317 Louis Vuitton pieces in an online auction from August 27 to September 10, 2025.
The collection, meticulously acquired over the past decade and maintained in pristine condition, represents the aesthetic evolution of the luxury house under creative directors Pharrell Williams, Virgil Abloh, and Nicolas Ghesquière. Estimates range from €150 to €8,000, making pieces accessible to both newcomers and seasoned collectors.
"This auction is an homage to Louis Vuitton and the exemplary single-owner collection of designs from the last ten years shows the visionary design work and groundbreaking fashion collaborations that spearheaded the brand into a new era in fashion history," said Hubert Felbacq, Director of the Fashion and Accessories department at Bonhams Cornette de Saint Cyr Paris.
The collection spans 138 bags and leather goods, including iconic models like the NéoNoé, Neverfull, and Capucines, alongside 77 pieces of jewelry and accessories, 80 silk and cashmere scarves, and 10 ready-to-wear pieces.
Highlighting the house's artistic collaborations, the sale features creations from partnerships with Takashi Murakami, Tyler, The Creator, and Sun Yitian. These collaborations began under Marc Jacobs' leadership in 1997, transforming Louis Vuitton from a historic luggage maker into a contemporary fashion powerhouse.
Among the standout lots is a circa 2021 Capucines BB Constellations bag in silk satin embroidered with Swarovski rhinestones, estimated at €4,000-6,000, and a Petite Malle bag in silver leather with padded Monogram sequins, valued at €2,500-3,500.
