Piaget pulled out all the stops for its watches and jewelry exhibition in a large enclosed space at Art Dubai 2016, bringing a large sampling of its patrimony collections, including pieces once owned by Andy Warhol, Jackie Kennedy, and Elizabeth Taylor, along with unique haute joaillerie pieces, some belonging to private clients in the region.

On display are flamboyant creations from the 1960s-70s, with many large cuff-watches and flowing sautoir-watches that became a signature look for Piaget, along with a display of bold colors through the use of coral, turquoise, and lapis-lazuli.

“This is a great opportunity for us to share the audacity of our creations and our unique savoir-faire. It is also an occasion to celebrate the strong ties that we have established with the region for decades,” states Piaget’s CEO, Philippe Léopold-Metzger.

Piaget was amongst the first to unite haute horlogerie and haute joaillerie for example, bedecking a 1977 watch that has an ultra-thin hand-wound movement with 44 marquise-cut diamonds and including a lapis-lazuli dial.

The Swiss luxury brand is also showcasing its savoir-fair with gold for example, through long, fluid cravat-like necklaces and hand-braided gold bracelets.

Art Dubai 2016 runs March 16-19, 2016.
