In the Atelier of Maison Lemarié

Founded in 1880 by Palmyre Coyette, Maison Lemarié started out as a feather supplier to the millinery industry before expanding after the second world war under the leadership of her grandson André Lemarié to offer fabric flowers to its clients that ranged from Dior, Balenciaga, and Nina Ricci, to Yves Saint Laurent, and Alexander McQueen.

Today, the house is part of Chanel, creating all its camelias, but continues to supply others. I got the opportunity last year to visit the Maison's light-flooded atelier in the north of Paris right after the Summer collections.
