Viktor&Rolf Mariage Spring/Summer 2021 collection

“In this difficult time we think it’s important to dream. A wedding stands for hope and trust. Two values we need now” state fashion artists Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren.

This season’s Viktor&Rolf Mariage Spring/Summer 2021 collection is inspired by opulent classical gardens. Lavish floral arrangements have been translated into architectural and stylish bridal gowns with a signature Viktor&Rolf twist.

Couture inspired gowns create dramatic statements: clean bodices are juxtaposed with elaborate skirts, sporting tiers and voluminous, folded volants that softly drape into airy bows in the back. Delicate crepe lends the gowns a flattering softer flow through graceful sweep trains.

The collection features delicate broderie anglaise embroidery and organza with handcrafted polka dot tulle flowers that cascade down and fade into the airy tulle skirts. Classic lace is reinterpreted in a modern way with graphic lasercut lace borders which adorn fitted satin column dresses and result in sharp silhouettes.

This season is enhanced by a wide offering of fitted mermaid shaped silhouettes, empire waist gowns, asymmetric kaftans, tuxedo jumpsuits, sheath gowns with plunging V-shaped necklines and ballgowns with alluring illusion necklines.

Highlighting two standout gowns of the season: the 'Sculptural Tiered Gown'. This majestic statement gown crafted out of soft mikado features an A-line silhouette with a clean halter neck and inverted triangle strap at the back. A signature bow adorns the nape of the neck and gives way to a sculptural constructed skirt crafted out of voluminous folded tiers.

The ‘Tulle Spring Dream Gown’ is a dramatic tulle gown that has a delicate fitted sweetheart bodice crafted out of draped tulle with cup detailing that is framed with handcrafted flowers. The dress boasts an elegant waistband that gives way to a voluminous skirt paired with a generous sweep train.

The collection is produced in partnership with Justin Alexander, an international bridalwear designer and manufacturer.
